But we think most people would have preferred the slightly more modest AG coating akin to modern IPS panels to be honest.

I was about to do backflips when it said that it had low pixel density (something like 2560 X 1080 or 2560 x 1200), but alas, that's way too high for mortals. Also, even though it's a 1440p monitor, it still accepts and downscales 4k signals, which results in a more detailed image than native 1440p. You don’t get this same effect if the coating is fully glossy as there’s no AG layer, but what you do get instead is more reflections. A huge 45in 3440x1440 display (84PPI) delivers a gorgeous 21:9 cinematic aspect ratio with an ultra-thin micro-bezel. We may receive commission from Novuna Personal Finance based on an agreed percentage of the amount you borrow. The stand and mount also feel very solid and stable, managing to weigh the display down and keep it steady during the process as well as when you’re adjusting tilt – though that also means that it is on the heavier side. The Xeneon Flex lacks any HDR certificate beyond the basic HDR10, but thanks to 10-bit colour and an effectively infinite contrast ratio, content looks very impressive in either mode though the Windows desktop looked rather washed out, suggesting that the HDR colour balance could use some fine-tuning though it’s nothing I couldn’t live with. However, it isn't the same as pulse-width modulation like on LED-backlit monitors because it isn't a full screen on and off, and you won't notice this flicker. The Corsair Xeneon Flex 45WQHD240 OLED’s main appeal is that you’re getting both a curved monitor and a flat one, as well as an ultrawide display, making it incredibly versatile for a wide range of uses and one of the best monitors I’ve ever tested.

The MSI also has a QD-OLED panel that gets brighter and delivers more vivid colors than the Corsair for an improved HDR experience.

The large screen has a low pixel density, but if you want a super ultrawide display with a 49-inch screen, 32:9 aspect ratio, and higher pixel density, check out the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9/G95SC S49CG95.

Featuring a 45-inch bendable OLED display with a WQHD resolution of 3440 x 1440, this monitor delivers stunning visuals and vibrant colors.

It's fantastic for gaming thanks to its high 240Hz refresh rate and VRR support to reduce screen tearing. Finance is only available to permanent UK residents aged >18, subject to status, terms and conditions apply. These results are from after calibration in the 'Standard' Preset Mode with the Color Temperature on 'Custom' and Brightness at its max.

Experience gorgeous cinematic visuals on an immense 45-inch 3440x1440 OLED screen, with up to 240Hz refresh rate and an unbelievably fast 0. Pixel orbiting and refresh features are included to maintain the panel’s health while in standby mode. And, more 500Hz monitors might roll out soon, following the release of the Alienware AW720H, which I’m still not sure is something that can serve the general gaming population at this moment. It even has productivity features like a KVM switch and Picture-in-Picture/Picture-by-Picture modes. Mini-LED monitors, of course, have their own set of issues and thus far very, very few monitors can do both the peaks and the lows in terms of brightness, while controlling everything with precision.Though pixel density is relatively low, the picture’s dynamic range erases any perception of pixel structure. We tested the 45-inch Corsair XENEON FLEX 45WQHD240, which is the only size available for this model.
