Description

I adore the relationship between the women in this book and how they drive the action, I love how character development has never waned over the entire series and how they feel like family to us as well as.

He has written many other number one bestsellers including collaborations with President Bill Clinton and Dolly Parton, stand-alone thrillers and non-fiction.I think that one of Mr Patterson’s great strengths is his ability to touch the zeitgeist and he does it here admirably with guns and drugs. There is a new law in California, limiting firearms availability and legality and certain sections of the populace are protesting.

It did take me a bit to get into the book as it seems to jump around a lot at the start but once it settles down, you want to keep on reading to find out what happens next. However, it’s more likely that I would cry or yell or kick myself for not running faster—again at the same time, of course! But she’s the kind of person you want in your corner (and the kind of person I’d like to think I would be—that is, if I spent my life chasing murderers). The list below separates the works into four main categories: fiction written for adults, for young adults and for children, and non-fiction.

I wonder what I would do if I were, say, pursuing a killer across a drawbridge when it started to raise, leaving me on one side and the killer on the other side? Boxer becomes deeply involved in the murders, risking both her badge and her life, and she’s forced to make impossible decisions with equally unpleasant outcomes. Senior crime reporter Cindy Thomas is writing a biography of Evan Burke, a notorious serial killer who sits in solitary confinement in San Quentin.

He’s consulting with the FBI on an extradition warrant and she’s investigating the gun smuggling rumours and a series of potentially related murders. Meanwhile, lots of bodies show up: A young girl disappears and is later found dead in a ditch, and ex-cops are found dead with their lips stapled shut and “You talk, you die” written on their foreheads. Another great read from this series - there are always multiple strands to the story that all tie together at the end.
