Biography: Bluey is an Emmy award-winning Australian children's television programme currently showing on Disney+ in the UK that celebrates play.

The lift-the-flap element gives the book another later of intrigue and tactile involvement, as readers are actively participating in the story. However, she luckily spies Mums footsteps re-emerge in the sand and gives herself a big-mermaid-girl pep talk to creep around the scary pelican!

It's a fun text for lower level children because they can also relate to Bluey and the other adventures she goes on with and without her family. Today, the centres are run by its 8th generation of the Pennell's family, William Pennell, with the support of his father and company chairman Richard Pennell. Established in 1780, Pennells Garden Centres is one of the oldest family run garden centres in the UK. After regaling Mum with her heroic solo adventure, they walk back along the beach hand in hand and Bluey observes that she too enjoys walks on her own.

This book has a charming colloquial Australian voice and is full of humour and of course great lessons for the young people. The jokes and fun work on all levels, although I find the parent's willingness to join in all the time exhausting. It’s a great book about kids getting a little independence and overcoming fears about things that they don’t have to fear and learning to be brave. All of these nuggets make this book worth reading, but there’s not much that tops your toddler getting particularly excited at Bluey’s reunion with mum.

Though they traditionally feature a lavish dinner event, this year’s Abias ceremony was livestreamed on YouTube on Wednesday afternoon amid the coronavirus lockdown. It was one of the first books to based on a bluey episode with the same name along with Fruit Bat which came out the same day. Bluey politely asks the cheeky pelican to move, but he stubbornly refuses, making her think she’ll have to turn around. It is subtle enough that some kids won't pick up on the melancholy aspects, but they will still love the book. A sand carving and seashell portrayal of mermaid Bingo can be seen on the abandoned sand castle that Bluey plants the stick in. At Books2Door, we believe that reading is a fundamental skill that every child should have to help improve their vocabulary, grammar, and critical thinking skills.

Along with her friends and family, blue heeler Bluey enjoys exploring the world and using her imagination to turn everyday life into an amazing adventure.Or maybe they start to unravel Bluey’s ability to overcome challenges and the importance of remembering where you’ve been, who you are, and that feeling you had once you’ve made it through a set back. However, her journey encounters obstacles in birds and other beach surprises that she finds along the way.
