About this deal

As well as easy-to-clean surfaces, the best high chairs keep your baby from slipping out of the bottom. Other optional extras are the food tray, cushion set and starter kit which allows babies as young as 6 months to sit in it and feel supported whilst doing so. They rely on a number of sources, including our independent reviews, testing undertaken during the MadeForMums Awards, and feedback from our home testing panel and Top Testers Club. The adjustable footrest is a useful feature to find the perfect fit for your baby, the feeding tray has 2 positions to ensure there's enough space for a growing child. And it is superhandy for taking on visits to people so that baby can sit and have a meal or just sit and be in a safe place whilst the adults can eat and talk.

And remember, it's hugely important to make sure your baby is strapped in safely and securely at all times and to never leave your baby unattended in their highchair. Consenting to these technologies will allow us to process data such as browsing behavior or unique IDs on this site. The pieces are dishwasher friendly, which is a bonus, and the extra silicone layer for the tray is useful. Fantastic, very sturdy and safe for our six month old great height for a range of tables and easy to clean.

This highchair is the ultimate in comfort, with luxurious touches such as the plush toy bar with hanging toy animals and the leatherette seat pad that's also great for a quick and easy wipe clean. Highchairs are an essential addition to the house, they are comfortable and secure so that baby doesn’t fall out!The recline function means you can use it as safe chair for your baby from 3 months – although it's not lie-flat so you wouldn't want your baby dozing in it. Our toddler tester loved the independence of sitting at a regular dining room chair on this booster seat with his brother, while we liked the fact this seat keeps him a little more secure. However, we’re particularly keen on the compact Pocket Snack booster seat from Chicco because it’s height-adjustable – in fact, it has four height positions – and its tray can be placed in three positions, or it can be removed completely.

However, the straps are only a 3-point lap strap rather than the safer 5-point straps, which is something to be aware of. I have found that the only way to get all the bits out is by tweaking them out with a cocktail stick or some such. As most mums know this is very inconvenient as a lot of the time you will have a babe in arms or a plate full of food. The folding-up section might take a little getting used to at first, but once you’ve grasped it, it’s sure to become a must-carry in your changing bag. It then transforms into a highchair with an optional silicone meal tray from 6 months+, to a booster seat, and then a toddler chair. If you’re seeing all these signs pretty consistently, then chances are your baby is ready to move from a liquid to solid diet. Depending on your child’s height and confidence with sitting, you’ll be using your high chair three to five times daily for around 18 months.
