Ikko (born Kazuyuki Toyoda ( 豊田 一幸, Toyoda Kazuyuki ) on 20 January 1962 in Fukuoka Prefecture), stylized as IKKO, is a Japanese make-up artist, TV personality, and actress. The name "Ikko" comes from an alternative reading of the Japanese name "一幸" (Ikkō). Despite their diminutive stature, the Gems deliver the impression of a remarkably spacious soundstage for a pair of IEMs at this price point. Likely due to their clear and articulate nature, instrument separation and spatial location are well conveyed. Should I get to the point? Yes, the OH10 do sound good. Surprisingly so. These actually may be a high-water mark at their price point and absolute killers if you find them on sale (like right now at the time of writing). Everyone’s ears are different, so I can’t promise that the OH10 will fit and feel as good in your particular head holes. So there is some risk associated with blindly buying IEMs with this unusually high weight. Internals Wide and dynamic soundstage and imaging can be easily expected with the iKKO Heimdallr ITB03. Imaging is well executed, it neither feels monodirectional nor artificially spaced. Let’s be clear. The Gems do not sound like the Obsidian, and if you buy them expecting the same experience, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Instead, the Gems stand on their own. Sometimes the new guy just gets things right. It’s nice to have a strong recommendation in this price tier, and the OH10 have the chops to fulfill this role. The material choices are not only unusual, but the OH10 are also staggeringly well made. Copper, titanium, and platinum? Who does that? When controlled by the A.I, the Ikko Ikki are a particularly potent threat due to both their powerful early game armies as well as their unique religion.

The iKKO Heimdallr comes in a neat little box, nothing exciting. It does contain the necessary accessories such as the manual and 3 necessary cables – USB-C to USB-C cable, USB-C to Lightning Cable, and USB-C to USB-A cable. ISBN 9780714837161. The OH10 have a big, weighty low-end balanced by an energetic upper midrange and a reasonably extended high-end. They have a surprisingly spacious sound, perhaps a bit at the expense of pin-point imaging or precision, but it’s a trade-off well made. They have a big, smooth, engaging sound that is enjoyable and non-fatiguing. Along with the pleasant forward midrange tuning, the Gems OH1S have a balanced midrange region. The lower and higher midrange felt equal, such that male and female vocals are on the same positioning. Electric and acoustic guitars also sound natural and crisp. The OH10 avoid the upper midrange nasal tonality that seems to plague some IEMs and are very pleasant to listen to. The mids are a touch on the thin side when judged with a critical ear, but overall tonality is decent. These IEMs aren’t mid-focused tuned, but what’s there is acceptable. Treble

When the music calls for it, they provide the goods to nod your head or tap your toes. All the while they remain clear, fast, and snappy sounding. It’s an engaging sound signature that reminds me of the experience of listening to good monitor speakers, rather than massive subwoofers.
