His other books have been either shortlisted for, or have won numerous children's book prizes around the country. Then is the second in a series of children's novels by Morris Gleitzman that began with Once about Felix, a Jewish orphan caught in the middle of the Holocaust. uma menina, do qual os seus pais dera-lhe o nome de Zelda em homenagem a Félix, que conta a continuação da vida deste grande homem. Now can be read without having read the previous two books, but I would highly recommend beginning with Once and following the sequence through to its very satisfying finish.

Morris Gleitzman - Now

I am very happy I read this book because although it is heartbreaking, it did make me contemplate one of history's worst atrocities through the eyes of children. We sit looking at each other and I can see Felix is having a really big struggle deciding what to do.

Just in case you're still feeling nervous, please be reassured that no swimming-pool swamp weed, flared stretch leotards, federal politicians, nervous speed bumps, giant sloths, lumps of toe fluff, rugby-playing wheelie bins, real estate agents' teeth, scary removalist trucks, very naughty year six dance and drama groups or bouncy bouncy settees were hurt in the writing of this book. Now comes the seventh and final part of Felix's story, bringing to a powerful climax a series that countless young readers around the world will remember - Always. Author Morris Gleitzman writing style contributes mainly to the fact that the narrative is mainly told from a child’s point of view.Of course, everyone assumed that I had actually seen it happen, because what kid could just make something like that up? It's fifteen years since readers were first introduced to Felix in Once and across six celebrated books, our brave young hero has survived many unforgettable and emotional journeys. Once is the first in a series of children's novels about Felix, a Jewish orphan caught in the middle of the Holocaust, from Australian author Morris Gleitzman - author of Bumface and Boy Overboard.
